{"id":4046,"date":"2022-09-18T08:44:51","date_gmt":"2022-09-18T04:14:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iccci.ir\/en\/?p=4046"},"modified":"2022-09-18T08:44:52","modified_gmt":"2022-09-18T04:14:52","slug":"document-on-irans-accession-to-sco-signed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iccci.ir\/en\/document-on-irans-accession-to-sco-signed\/","title":{"rendered":"Document on Iran\u2019s accession to SCO signed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Document on formalities or commitments which let Iran be a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was signed during a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and the SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meeting held on Wednesday evening, Amirabdollahian said all documents related to completion of procedure of Iran\u2019s membership in the SCO have already been approved by the [Iranian] cabinet members and were sent to the Majlis (Parliament) for review and legal formalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After signing the document of commitments, the SCO secretary general said \u201ctoday\u201d is an important day for both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further congratulated the SCO members and Iranians on this membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran is a powerful, stable and secure country in the region; and this is important for the SCO, the secretary general noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ming described Iran\u2019s membership in the Organization as a move to upgrade the SCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a related development, Head of Iran\u2019s Presidential Office Gholam-Hossein Esmaeili said on Wednesday that foreign ministers of Iran and other SCO member states will sign the main document for Iran&#8217;s membership in the SCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esmaeili underlined that it is a good success for the Islamic Republic of Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before this membership, Iran was acting as an observer in the SCO.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Document on formalities or commitments which let Iran be a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was signed during a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and the SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming.
