The value of non-oil export from Bushehr province, in the southwest of Iran, rose 57 percent in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-November 21), as compared to the same period of time in the past year, a provincial official announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ali Soleymani, the director-general of Bushehr Customs Department, said that 18.068 million tons of commodities worth $9.747 billion were exported from the province in the first eight months of the present year, indicating also 10 percent rise in terms of weight year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He named petrochemicals, gas condensate, minerals, agricultural products and foodstuff, carpet and handicrafts as the main exported items and China, United Arab Emirates, India, South Africa and Pakistan as the major export destinations of the products exported from the province in the said eight months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the important capacities of the coastal province of Bushehr on the edge of the Persian Gulf is maritime trade and economic connection with different countries. Bushehr province has the longest sea border with the Persian Gulf, and in this regard, various customs and port services are provided for traders and merchants on the shores of Bushehr province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The value of export from the province rose 67 percent in the past Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20), from its preceding year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The worth of export from Bushehr stood at $10.136 billion in the past year, and the weight of exported commodities, including gas condensate, at 25.78 million tons, with six percent growth year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, 25.506 million tons of non-oil goods, excluding gas condensate, worth $9.9 billion were exported from Bushehr province in the previous year, showing 73 percent and six percent annual rise in terms of value and weight, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Petrochemical products, gas condensate, minerals, fisheries, and vegetables were the main exported items, and China, the United Arab Emirates, India, Pakistan, Turkey, South Africa, Nigeria, Brazil, Mozambique and Qatar were the major export destinations of the province\u2019s products in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As announced by the spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the value of Iran\u2019s non-oil export rose 4.44 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year, as compared to the same period of time in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Morteza Emadi, Iran exported 70.402 million tons of goods valued at $32.368 billion in the said eight months, registering a 16-percent decline in weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Liquefied propane, methanol, liquefied butane, polyethylene, bitumen, urea, liquefied natural gas, iron and steel ingots, and light oils were the main exported products in the said time span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major export destinations of the Iranian non-oil goods were China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, and India, according to the official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Islamic Republic has also imported 23.405 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $37.116 billion in the first eight months of the present year, with a 15.25-percent growth in value and a 12.44-percent decrease in weight, year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first five items of goods imported into the country in the said period include corn, rice, wheat, soybeans, sunflower seed oil, cell phones, flour and unrefined sugar, according to Emadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The United Arab Emirates was the top exporter to Iran in the mentioned eight months, followed by China, Turkey, India, and Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reportedly, the value of Iran\u2019s non-oil trade rose 10 percent during the mentioned period, as compared to the same eight months in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
