To this end, the Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company (CDTIC) in Iran, as the affiliate company of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and responsible for construction of transport infrastructures, informed of the railway projects which currently attract investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fifteen railway projects in Iran are attracting investments estimating to 3,469,000 billion IRR for 4,343 kilometers, according to the CDTIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main strategic project is Rasht-Astara Railway (162 km) as the missing part along the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other projects include Mianeh-Bostan Abad-Tabriz Railway (203 km), Kermanshah-Khosravi Railway (263 km), Zahedan-Zabol-Milak-Birjand Railway (910 km), Shiraz-Bushehr Railway (450 km), Dorud-Khoramabad-Andimeshk-Borujerd Railway (394 km), Gorgan-Bojnord-Mashhad Railway (520 km), Hamedan-Malayer Railway (75 km), Ilam Railway (70 km), Yasuj Railway (179 km), Esfahan-Ahvaz Railway (484 km), Sabzevar Railway (48 km), Shahrekord-Mobarakeh Railway (90 km), Gol Gohar-Shiraz Railway (345 km), Jovein-Esfarayen-Bojnurd Railway (159 km).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total lengths of railway in Iran are about 15,040 km (main routes and side routes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, on the occasion of transport week in Iran (December 17-22), Iran Deputy Minister and CEO of the CDTIC, Kheirollah Khademi, informed of completion of 561 km new railways by the next year which already have more than 70 percent physical progress.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, there are approximately 3,276 km new railway under construction and 6,312 km under study.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tehran (ISNA) &#8211; Development of railway network domestically and internationally is top priority of Iran.
