Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi announced the preparation of a draft of the country’s comprehensive industrial development after the Leader’s emphasis, saying that the draft will be finalized in the near future.
Speaking in the ceremony of the National Day of Industry and Mining on Saturday, Raeisi said, “It has been 12 years since the Leader has considered economy as the focus of the naming of the years, and in the recent six years, he has paid attention to production,” wrote president.ir.
The president stated that production is one of the main axes of bringing power for the country, and added his government should try to remove obstacles to production as well as the development of exports.
Raeisi described producers as “officers of the production field and national power” and noted, “The enemy is trying to hold the country back and weaken the components of power creation, of which production is one of the most important.”
Our duty against these efforts is to support producers and economic actors as officers of this field, he continued.
The president said operation in any field naturally has problems and difficulties, and economic actors and producers should know that success in production requires strong determination, careful planning and continuous effort.
He emphasized the need to pay more attention to the development of new technology-based firms (NTBFs) and said, “Technology-based products have the potentials to be more competitive in the global and domestic markets”.
The president stated that the National Day of Industry and Mining is a good opportunity to appreciate the efforts of producers to review the efforts and achievements of the field.
Addressing the producers of the country, Raeisi said the government appointed a taskforce to prepare development plans for Iranian industries, in consultation with experts.
He pointed to revising laws and avoiding hasty decisions as necessary measures to smooth the path of production and stated, “The future must be predictable for industrialists so that they can have proper planning”.
“The government should leave its management in the economy and be in the position of guidance, support and supervision,” the president noted.
Raeisi emphasized the importance of boosting the quality and productivity of domestic products and said, “Every producer should redefine the problem of increasing productivity and at the same time find solutions to reduce production prices.”
