Iran’s GDP Grew by 4.5 Percent

The groups of agriculture, industries and mines and services registered negative growth rates of 4.4%, 6.4% and 4.4% respectively.

Iran’s economy grew by 4.5% in the last fiscal year that ended on March 20, 2023, the Statistical Center of Iran said in a new report, adding that without taking oil production into account, the figure stood at 4%.

The groups of agriculture, industries and mines and services registered negative growth rates of 4.4%, 6.4% and 4.4% respectively.

“Oil and natural gas extraction”, a subcategory of the industries and mines group, registered 7% growth.

Construction, another subcategory of the same group, contracted by 2.3%.
