Exports from Iran’s Isfahan up 9% in 10 months

Isfahan Customs Administration’s Director General has said that Isfahan Province exported 1.909 million tons of goods during 10 months of the current Iranian year (to January 20) showing a 9 percent YOY rise in volume.

Rasoul Kouhestani Pajouh said on Monday that Isfahan Province exported 1.909 million tons of goods worth $1.197 billion during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year.

According to Kouhestani, the figures show a 9 percent rise in terms of tonnage and a 5 percent fall in value in comparison with the corresponding period of last year.

The main exports included iron and steel, petroleum products, carpet, iron and steel products, and dairy products, he added.

He further noted that Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, and the UAE were the top five destinations for Isfahan’s exports.
