Growth in non-oil exports from northern Iranian Prov

Exports of non-oil products from the northern Iranian province of Mazandaran have witnessed a 34 percent increase in the first four months of the Iranian year starting on March 21, 2022, compared with that in the preceding year, a provincial official announced on Thursday.

Hassan Kheyrian-pour, deputy governor-general for economic affairs, made the remarks in an economic meeting here.

Worth of non-oil exports has been 300 million dollars in the mentioned period, and the figure shows 34 percent growth while being compared with the previous period, Kheyrian-pour said.  

Also, the exports have had 29 percent increase in weight during the four months, he added.

The official further referred to Iraq, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan as the main destinations for Mazandaran’s non-oil exports.

Dairy products, cement, minerals, food for marine animals are among the exported products.
