The head of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran has announced that the country has attracted $9.2 billion in foreign investment over the past two years.
Ali Fekri sahared the information during an interview with Iranian television on Thursday.
Fekri highlighted that during the Iranian calendar year 1401 (March 20, 2022, to March 20, 2023), Iran managed to attract nearly $4.2 billion of foreign investment, which represents a significant increase compared to previous years.
He also noted that the amount of foreign investment during this period showed a growth of 170%.
However, after the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the Total company was expected to invest more than $4 billion in the 11th phase of South Pars, but Total has not invested a single dollar in the project.
