Iran steel export up 21% in 7 months

 Iran’s export of steel has risen 21 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21–October 22, 2023), as compared to the same period of time in the past year.

Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) in its recent report has announced that the export of Iran’s steel products during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year has reached 7,089 million metric tons (mt), which was 5,842 million mt during the same period of time in the past year.

According to the report by the ISPA, 7.1 million tons of steel and iron products, valued at $4.2 billion, were exported during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year.

According to the World Steel Association, Iran has maintained its 10th place among world steel producers by producing some 2.4 million mt of steel in September 2023.
