Iran’s Gilan province exports over 314m dollars of non-oil goods

The head of Gilan proving Industries, Mines and Trade Organization said here on Sunday that during the first half of the current (Iranian) year 502,032 tons of non-oil products, worth $314,931,129 were exported from province’s customs offices, which show 12% in weight and 20% value increase year on year.

Farhad Dalqpoosh who was speaking on Sunday evening for Gilan province Economic Workgroup at Astara Municipality added that 85% of Gilan province exports are through Astara Border, and we must take the maximum advantage of the existing facilities aimed at economic development of the country.

He said that four years ago Gilan province’s exports were 114 million dollars, but now despite the coronavirus virus pandemic and the resulting difficulties, last year the province exported goods worth 664 million dollars, which was six times that amount.

The provincial economic official said that the objective of the province’s economic officials is exporting goods worth 720 million dollars, which is almost achieved.
