Iran exported 25.39 million tons of goods worth $10.72 billion to its 15 neighboring countries during March 21-Aug. 22 while imports stood at 17.93 million tons worth $9.91 billion during the same period, registering a YOY 21% increase
Iran’s trade with neighboring countries, excluding crude oil exports, in the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Aug. 22) stood at 33.33 million tons worth $20.63 billion, registering a 24% rise in value compared with the similar period of last year, according to the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
“Iran exported 25.39 million tons of goods worth $10.72 billion to its 15 neighboring countries during the period, which shows a 27% rise in value compared with the similar period of last year. Exports accounted for 58% and 51% of the weight and value of Iran’s total exports during the period under review respectively,” Rouhollah Latifi was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
Iraq was the biggest export destination, purchasing 8.65 million tons of Iranian goods worth $2.96 billion, registering a 6% year-on-year decline in value.
