Iran’s Deputy Industry Minister Mehdi Niazi has said production in the country’s industrial sector has grown 5.1 percent in the current year (started on March 21) compared to the previous year, IRNA reported on Thursday.
“This year, the productive sector has had favorable conditions. The published reports indicate a good growth in the field of production,” Niazi said in a televised program.
“Compared to last year, production in the industrial sector shows a growth of 5.1 percent; Also, the index growth of companies listed on the stock market increased by 6.7 percent in Mordad [the fifth Iranian calendar month ended on August 22], and this growth indicates that the production sector has created favorable conditions for providing goods in the market,” the official stated.
