Q1 Exports From Tehran Province Near $300m

A total of 180,000 tons of goods worth $298 million were exported from Tehran Province to 160 countries during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 37.96% rise in value compared with the similar period of last year, according to an official with the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade.

“Our top five export destinations were Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany and Pakistan,” Hassan Mirzaei was also quoted as saying by ISNA.

Over the same three months, added the official, around 115,000 tons of goods worth $264.4 million were imported into the province, registering a 9.76% increase in value compared with the corresponding period of last year.

The imports mainly came from the UAE, China, Turkey, Germany and Switzerland.
