The 15th International Conference on Islamic Capital Market (ICM) kicked off in Tehran on Sunday, IRIB reported.
The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by Head of the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) Majid Eshghi, senior capital market managers and 42 participants from Russia, Kuwait, Indonesia, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Maldives, Malaysia, Turkey, India along with more than 200 Iranian participants.
The event is organized by SEO in collaboration with the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance with the aim of promoting Islamic financial instruments.
The main topics that are covered in the event include the optimal framework of Shariah governance in Islamic financial institutions, designing Islamic financial bonds to support bilateral and multilateral monetary agreements, issuing social responsibility papers to strengthen the stability of the economy in the nation, crypto asset transactions and tokenization of financial assets in the framework of Islam, transparency and disclosure requirements in Islamic financial instruments, designing short-term tools for financing economic enterprises, collective financing tools under the framework of Islamic finance to increase welfare and economic justice, and legal requirements and regulations for the issuance of international Islamic financial bonds.
The conference is going to wrap up on Monday.
