Atotal of 9.3 million tons of goods were transited from Iran by roads in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2023), registering a 1% rise compared with the preceding year, according to the head of Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, Daryoush Amani.
The number of trucks carrying transit goods registered a 4% rise during the period, he added.
Bazargan terminal (on Turkish border) registering an increase of 16% and Shahid Rajaei Port (in the southern Hormozgan Province) with an increase of 15% in transit volume were the most active transit borders, the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported.
